An observing eye and the whimsy of nature can lead to interesting results.

My father, John Preu, painted these watercolors in the 1930's and 40's, the early ones while still studying at Pratt Institute in New York. He was employed as an art teacher in Hartford, CT for 35 years, retiring to his long- time summer home on Cape Cod. Throughout his life he continued creating art, moving from watercolors to oils, then acrylics. He was also a jeweler, working primarily with sterling silver and doing enamel on copper, as well as many other crafts. In his later years he knit several hundred sweaters, vests, and hats. His were not idle hands... Presented here are giclee prints on 60LB matte, acid-free paper created with pigmented inks for long-term color stability. Mounted with acid-free foamcore with a 100% cotton rag mat.
